We are seeking a results-driven Local SEO Specialist to join our growing digital marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about local search optimization, understands Google’s ever-evolving algorithm, and can drive targeted traffic and leads for local businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of SEO principles with a particular focus on optimizing for local intent and improving visibility in Google Maps and local pack results.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Plan and execute local SEO strategies to improve rankings in Google Search and Google Maps.

  2. Optimize Google Business Profiles (formerly GMB) and ensure accurate citations across key directories (Yelp, Bing Places, Apple Maps, etc.).

  3. Perform local keyword research and implement on-page optimizations based on search trends and geo-specific data.

  4. Audit client websites for local SEO best practices including NAP consistency, schema markup, and local content development.

  5. Monitor and analyze performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and BrightLocal.

  6. Create and manage citation building campaigns and local backlink acquisition strategies.

  7. Collaborate with content writers and developers to ensure SEO-friendly content and technical structures.

  8. Track and report local search performance, and provide actionable insights to improve visibility and ROI.

Skills & Qualifications

  1. 1–2 years of hands-on experience in local SEO or digital marketing.
  2. Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, and ranking factors.
  3. Familiarity with tools like Moz Local, BrightLocal, Whitespark, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
  4. Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and keyword tracking platforms.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field preferred.
  8. Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines.
  9. A proactive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to stay up to date on industry trends.
